What this covers
This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use molabs.net or place an order, how we use it, and your rights under UK GDPR.

Data we collect
When you place an order, we collect:
- Your name, email address, phone number, and delivery address
- Payment details (handled directly by Stripe; we never see or store your card number)
- Order history and any communication you send us
When you browse the site, our hosting provider (Vercel) may log standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited. We don't use any analytics or advertising tracking.
Why we use it
We use your data to:
- Process and ship your order
- Send order confirmation and shipping updates
- Respond to questions you send us
- Comply with legal obligations (such as keeping tax records)
The legal bases we rely on are: performance of the contract (to ship your order), legitimate interests (to run the business), and legal obligation (to keep records).
Who we share it with
We share data only with the providers we need to run the shop:
- Stripe— payment processing
- Vercel— website hosting
- Resend— transactional email (order confirmations)
- Royal Mail or another courier— delivery
We don't sell or rent your data to anyone. We don't use it for marketing other than transactional emails about your order.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for 6 years to comply with HMRC tax record requirements. After that, we delete them.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Have your data deleted (subject to our legal obligations)
- Object to processing
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office
